Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Overview

This Refund and Cancellation Policy applies to all courses and programs offered by Vidya Sarthi Institute of Digital Education, operated by Maroonsky Edtech Pvt. Ltd. ("Institute", "we", "us"). By enrolling in any of our programs, you agree to the terms set out in this policy.

We encourage all prospective students to make an informed decision before enrolling. To help you do this, we offer a 2-Day Free Trial โ€” two complete live class sessions that you may attend at no charge and with no obligation. Only after experiencing our teaching quality, trainers, and classroom environment should you decide to enrol.

2. Free Trial Policy

We offer a 2-Day Free Trial to all prospective students across all our programs (AI Digital Marketing, Performance Marketing, Video Editing, and E-commerce Marketing).

What the Free Trial includes:

  • Two complete live class sessions (same as regular enrolled student sessions)
  • Access to the classroom environment and teaching methodology
  • An opportunity to meet the trainer and ask questions
  • A clear view of the curriculum, pace, and format before committing

Free Trial terms:

  • The trial is completely free โ€” no payment, no deposit, no commitment required
  • The trial is available for both offline (Delhi and Faridabad) and online batches
  • Students may attend the trial only once per course
  • The trial does not create any enrolment obligation on either party

We strongly encourage every student to use the 2-Day Free Trial before enrolling. Because we provide this opportunity, our No Refund Policy applies strictly once a student has chosen to enrol and made payment after the trial period.

3. Enrolment and Fees

3.1 Enrolment Process

Enrolment is confirmed only upon receipt of the full course fee (or agreed instalment amount, if applicable) and issuance of a written enrolment confirmation by the Institute. Verbal commitments or booking messages on WhatsApp do not constitute a binding enrolment.

3.2 Fee Structure

Course fees are communicated to each student individually based on the chosen program, batch type (weekday/weekend), and mode (offline/online). All fees are inclusive of applicable GST unless stated otherwise. A fee receipt and GST invoice will be issued upon payment.

3.3 What the Fee Covers

  • All live classroom / online sessions for the enrolled course duration
  • Access to recorded sessions (lifetime access to the enrolled batch)
  • Course materials, assignments and project guidance
  • Certificate of completion from Vidya Sarthi Institute
  • Placement assistance and career support services
  • Access to future live batches of the same course (lifetime re-attendance policy)

3.4 Instalment Policy

Where an instalment payment plan has been agreed in writing, all instalments are due as per the agreed schedule. Failure to pay an instalment on time may result in suspension of access to classes until the outstanding amount is cleared. Unpaid instalments do not entitle the student to a refund of amounts already paid.

4. No Refund Policy

Vidya Sarthi Institute operates a strict no-refund policy. Once a student has enrolled in a course and payment has been received by the Institute, no refund of fees will be issued under any circumstances, except as expressly stated in Section 5 (Exceptions) and Section 7 (Institute-Initiated Changes) of this policy.

This No Refund Policy applies in all the following situations:

  • The student changes their mind after enrolment
  • The student is unable to attend classes due to personal reasons (change of job, relocation, family commitments, travel, etc.)
  • The student has attended one or more classes and decides not to continue
  • The student is dissatisfied with the course content, trainer, pace, or any other aspect after enrolment (which is why we offer a 2-Day Free Trial before payment)
  • The student fails to attend classes without informing the Institute
  • The student does not complete the course
  • The student does not use the placement assistance services offered
  • External circumstances affecting the student (exams, other courses, health issues not qualifying under Section 5)
  • The student enrols in or transfers to another institute

Why we maintain this policy:

Our course seats are limited to maintain batch quality. When a student enrolls, that seat is reserved and other applicants may be turned away. Our trainers, materials, and administrative resources are committed from the moment of enrolment. The 2-Day Free Trial exists specifically so that students can make a fully informed decision before any money changes hands.

5. Exceptions to the No Refund Policy

Refund requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis under the following exceptional circumstances only. The Institute's decision in all such cases is final.

5.1 Serious Medical Emergency

If a student is unable to continue due to a serious medical condition, hospitalisation, or disability that prevents participation in any batch (offline or online), a partial refund or a full batch transfer may be considered. The student must provide:

  • A valid medical certificate from a registered medical practitioner
  • The request must be made in writing within 15 days of the medical event
  • The Institute may offer a batch transfer as the primary remedy (see Section 6)

5.2 Death of the Student

In the unfortunate event of the death of an enrolled student, the family may request either a full refund of fees paid or a transfer of enrolment to an immediate family member. Such requests must be made within 30 days with appropriate documentation.

5.3 Duplicate Payment

If a student accidentally makes a duplicate payment for the same enrolment, the excess amount will be refunded in full within 7 working days of the duplicate payment being confirmed by our accounts team.

6. Batch Transfer Policy

In situations where a student cannot continue with their current batch, a batch transfer is available as an alternative to refund. A batch transfer allows you to continue your course in a future batch of the same program.

Batch transfer terms:

  • One batch transfer is permitted per student, per course
  • Transfer requests must be made in writing at least 7 days before the next class
  • The transfer must be to a batch starting within 6 months of the transfer request
  • If no suitable batch is available within 6 months, the transfer window expires and the enrolment fee is forfeited
  • A batch transfer fee of โ‚น1,000 may apply to cover administrative costs, payable at the time of transfer
  • Batch transfer is not available for students who have completed more than 50% of their enrolled batch
  • Mode transfers (offline to online or vice versa) may be subject to a fee differential

7. Institute-Initiated Changes and Cancellations

7.1 Batch Cancellation by the Institute

In the rare event that the Institute is compelled to cancel a confirmed batch before it commences (due to insufficient enrolment, trainer unavailability, force majeure, or any other reason), enrolled students will be offered:

  • A full refund of all fees paid, processed within 10 working days, OR
  • A free transfer (with no transfer fee) to the next available batch of the same course

Students will be notified at least 5 days before the batch start date in such cases.

7.2 Change of Trainer or Schedule

The Institute reserves the right to change trainers, class timings, session platforms, or batch schedules due to operational requirements. Such changes will be communicated in advance. These changes do not entitle students to a refund.

7.3 Force Majeure

The Institute shall not be liable for cancellations, delays, or interruptions caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, pandemics, government orders, power failures, or internet outages. In such cases, classes will be rescheduled or alternative arrangements will be made. No refund will be issued for force majeure events.

8. Payment Failures and Technical Issues

If a payment fails during the online payment process but your account has been debited, please contact your bank first. If the amount has been debited but enrolment has not been confirmed, contact us at info@vidyasarthi.com with proof of transaction within 48 hours. We will investigate and either confirm the enrolment or initiate a refund of the failed transaction within 7 working days.

The Institute is not responsible for transaction failures caused by issues at the payment gateway, bank, or network level. Fees paid via cash or bank transfer are non-reversible once receipt is issued.

9. Placement Assurance Clause

Vidya Sarthi Institute provides a written placement assurance as part of eligible course enrolments. The placement assurance:

  • Is documented in your enrolment agreement
  • Covers active support in placement drives, resume building, interview preparation, and employer connections
  • Is conditional on the student completing the course, attending placement sessions, and maintaining satisfactory performance
  • Does not guarantee a specific salary, role, or job at a specific company
  • Does not entitle the student to a refund of fees in the event of non-placement

10. Consumer Rights

This policy is consistent with the provisions of the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 (India). If you believe your consumer rights have been violated, you may:

  • First, raise your concern with us directly at info@vidyasarthi.com
  • If not resolved within 30 days, file a complaint with the District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission having jurisdiction over New Delhi or Faridabad
  • Access the National Consumer Helpline at 1800-11-4000 or file online at consumerhelpline.gov.in

This policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of India. Any disputes arising out of this policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at New Delhi.

11. Changes to This Policy

The Institute reserves the right to modify this Refund and Cancellation Policy at any time. Changes will be published on our websites with an updated effective date. Policies in effect at the time of your enrolment will apply to your enrolment, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Continued use of our services after any changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
