  • WhatsApp messages: Content of messages you send us via WhatsApp for enquiries, follow-ups or course support

When you visit our websites, we may automatically collect:

  • Browser type, version, and device type
  • Pages visited, time spent, referral source
  • Clicks, scrolling behaviour, and interactions (via analytics tools)

3. How We Collect Information

  • Website enquiry forms and landing pages: When you fill in a form or click a WhatsApp button on our websites, the pre-filled message may include your enquiry type and preferred course/batch.
  • WhatsApp enquiries: When you message us via WhatsApp, your number, name (as saved on WhatsApp) and conversation content are accessible to our admissions team.
  • Google Analytics: We use Google Analytics to understand website traffic and user behaviour. This service may collect anonymised data about your visit.
  • Meta Pixel: Our websites may use Meta's tracking pixel (Facebook/Instagram) to measure the effectiveness of our advertisements and to show you relevant ads on Meta platforms.

  • In-person and telephonic enquiries: When you call us or visit our campus, we may record your name, contact details and enquiry for follow-up.

4. How We Use Your Information

If you are a student who has opted into our placement assistance program, we may share your resume, portfolio and contact details with our registered hiring partners. We will always seek your explicit consent before sharing your profile with any employer.

5.3 Analytics & Advertising Platforms

We use Google Analytics and Meta Pixel, which may transfer anonymised or pseudonymised data to Google LLC and Meta Platforms Inc. respectively. These platforms are governed by their own privacy policies. You can opt out of Google Analytics via Google's opt-out tool and of Meta personalised ads via your Meta account settings.

5.4 Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, court order, or governmental authority in India, or if we believe such disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, prevent fraud, or ensure the safety of our students and staff.

You may request deletion of your data at any time (see Section 10). Note that we may be required to retain certain records by law even after a deletion request.

10. Your Rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and applicable Indian regulations, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

If you wish to opt out of marketing communications, you may reply "STOP" to any WhatsApp message or email us directly. Please note that transactional messages (class schedules, certificates, receipts) will continue to be sent regardless of marketing opt-out.

11. Children's Privacy

Our courses are designed for individuals aged 18 years and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18. If a parent or guardian believes their minor child has provided us with personal information, they should contact us immediately at info@vidyasarthi.com and we will delete such information promptly.

In cases where a student is under 18 (if applicable under specific batch conditions), we require express written consent from a parent or guardian before enrolment.

Our websites may contain links to third-party websites, social media platforms, and job portals. These links are provided for your convenience only. We have no control over the content or privacy practices of such websites and accept no responsibility for them. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of every website you visit.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors. When we update the policy, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.

For significant changes, we will notify active students via WhatsApp or email. Your continued use of our services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
